Marcolès may be famous for its heritage, but it's also a meeting place for cycling enthusiasts every year.
Every year, this professional grand prix welcomes stars from the Tour de France. A circuit is mapped out around the village for the occasion, which also allows the beautiful roads of the Châtaigneraie Cantalienne to be showcased. The event attracts between 5,000 and 6,000 people every year.
12 pm: cycling school race (licensees)
2.15 pm: women's and cadet race
3.30 pm: juniors and seniors race (Cantal Week)
7pm: start of the Critérium professionnel
Bodega throughout the evening.
